MARQUETTE
FRINGE
FESTIVAL
October 23rd & 24th, 2026 in Downtown Marquette, MI
Step Into the Fringe
Marquette Fringe performances take place across multiple downtown venues on Saturday, with artists programmed into curated 60-minute Fringe Blocks designed to give audiences a full hour of diverse, engaging work. Performers may be scheduled alongside other artists whose work complements their own, creating a shared and dynamic festival experience.
The festival also marks the return of the Marquette Spectacle on Friday evening — a free, outdoor celebration of performative art open to the entire community.
As a participating artist, you’ll receive venue placement, scheduling details, and production guidance as the festival approaches. We strongly encourage all applicants to review the Fringe Festival Handbook, which outlines timelines, expectations, paperwork, and how the festival operates in greater detail.

About the Fringe Festival
A Fringe Festival is for those acts outside the mainstream. Acts of theatre, dance, comedy, music, and more that you might not see in a traditional festival. Fringe acts are known for being strange and abstract, thought-provoking and irreverent, but they aren’t required to be any of that. Anything performed at a Fringe festival is considered Fringe.
